She will give birth to a son,
and they will call him Immanuel,
which means ‘God is with us.”
God came and is with us! It wasn’t just any baby arriving in that manger in Bethlehem some 2000 years ago but actually God Himself. I can find it difficult to grasp that Jesus, on that first Christmas day, is actually God lying in a manger as a little baby. Only God could do something so daring as place His amazing salvation plan in such a precarious and vulnerable state as a human infant needing care, attending to, and protection from harm. What a miraculous and all-powerful God we serve. If you have ever wondered if God is able to handle the things you are praying about and have need, look no further than God placing Himself in a manger and putting His own master plan in potential jeopardy. Of course He is more than able to handle our requests no matter how difficult they may seem.
Jesus when dialoging with the most learned religious people during His earthly time, said…
“I tell you the truth, before Abraham was even born, I AM!”

In the book of Revelations chapter 1 we read…
“I am the Alpha and the Omega—the beginning and the end,” says the Lord God. “I am the one who is, who always was, and who is still to come—the Almighty One.”

We read in other scripture that Jesus was here when the earth was formed and that everything that was made was made through Him.

Are you in need of hope today? There is no greater hope than to be reminded that God is right there with you in your dilemma or concern. Take hope my dear friend and don’t despair, you haven’t been left alone. The One that created the universe and made everything, is right here with you and right now for this very moment in time.
