About me

This is a refreshed website for my Truth Told blog.

My blogging has been quiet for the past couple of years. I went through open heart surgery in April 2022 and shortly thereafter my wife and I moved back to Maine from Arizona. These all encompassing circumstances had brought severe limits on my personal time. However lately I find much more time for reflections and meditation on deeper topics.

My purpose in writing this blog is to share personal insights on issues of the day that are affecting all of us.

Brief Biographical Background

The first real encounter or experience I had with Jesus was at age 10, but not too long after I became more attracted to growing up and experiencing the world as an inquisitive teenager. Finally at age 47 in Copenhagen, Denmark I came face to face with God at a time in my life where everything seemed upside down and full of confusion. Ever since then I have been surrendered to Jesus, and to the best of my ability, with the help of the Holy Spirit, I’ve attempted to be obedient in following God’s direction. This personal journey hasn’t always been steady or in a straight line, however, I continue to follow God by faith and I haven’t been disappointed.

I’m a retired business executive coming from the business world, primarily marine electronics industry. Furthermore, I have studied and trained earning credentials as a professional life coach, CPLC.

Now I’m fully retired and serving on the board of directors for two organizations. I find myself also desiring to be a voice of reason in a very confusing and noisy world. As uncomfortable as it can be, I believe I am to step out of my comfort zone to speak up on certain issues of the day and also share my spiritual journey.

G Campbell Morgan influence

My daily devotional reading has been and is still influenced by the expository Bible commentary of G. Campbell Morgan (1863-1945). Morgan was a leading Bible expositor in England and the United States in the first half of the 20th century. An ordained pastor serving Westminster Chapel, London, England and worked with D.L. Moody ministry in the USA.
